Heike Scholten is an entrepreneur, social scientist and campaigner, who advises organizations in political communication, analysis and strategy development.

In 2013 Heike Scholten and political philosopher Katja Gentinetta founded GENTINETTA*SCHOLTEN Wirtschaft Politik Gesellschaft. GENTINETTA*SCHOLTEN advises companies, associations, foundations and authorities on economic and socio-political matters and specializes in applied research. Its discourse analyses draw on speech data and contribute to understanding society and developing evidence-based discourse strategies. GENTINETTA*SCHOLTEN therefore organized citizens’ discussions for renowned Swiss trade associations, following voter agreement on a popular initiative to limit immigration. The “Europe Dialogue” assembled business leaders and citizens to discuss European and migration policy. GENTINETTA*SCHOLTEN moderated and analysed the dialogues and formulated recommendations accordingly.

In 2015, the Scholten Partner GmbH communications agency founded by Heike Scholten in 2010 became BERTA Kommunikation AG, which she co-manages with long-time networking partner Janick Tagmann. The BERTA team specializes in online and offline communication and in conceiving and implementing political campaigning and campaigns. For online communication by organizations and persons and targeted thematic campaigning, BERTA Kommunikation AG uses BERTA DIGITAL, a proprietary, modern content management system with numerous CRM functions for online campaigning.

As former Deputy Communications Officer at economiesuisse, the Swiss Business Federation, Heike Scholten has successfully managed several voting campaigns for the Swiss business sector. Her latest publications include, “Do Businesses Have a Home?” (Verlag NZZ libro) and the anthology, Abstimmungskampagnen. Politikvermittlung in der Referendumsdemokratie” (Springer VS-Verlag).
