Surbhi Pandit Nangia is the Vice President at DataLEADS. She heads the outreach and global partnerships for DataLEADS . She has been instrumental in smooth coordination and managing of one the biggest projects on fact checking and media literacy with Google News Initiative, India which aims to support journalists and media educators across India in their fight against misinformation.
Surbhi oversees a diverse range of projects that the organisation is currently working on and manages international collaborations and strategic partnerships. She also leads global collaboration and outreach for HealthLEADS which is a health reporting and fact-checking initiative of DataLEADS. An important and integral part of HealthLEADS, First Check is a collaborative initiative with healthcare professionals and researchers to fight the tide of misinformation in health and encourage research and effective policy towards the same.
She has over 22 years of experience in media with expertise in marketing and sales. Surbhi started her career with The Indian Express and then moved on to Business Week as Country Lead. She also worked as Vice President – Sales and marketing with Planman Media and then with Media plus Publishing Ltd (Hong Kong). She did her Bachelor’s in Commerce and then MBA with a specialization in International Marketing.
