Aika Rey is a multimedia journalist based in the Philippines. She is currently a producer for the Manila bureau of NPR.
Aika was a reporter at the Philippine news site Rappler, covering a wide range of topics from business to politics. At Rappler, she spearheaded the award-winning “Safer Roads PH” campaign that led to positive policy change at the local level. The campaign was recognized at the 2018 Data Journalism Awards.
She earned her political science degree at the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
