Daniel has been the Parliamentary Legislative Assistant to Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Punggol East Single Member Constituency (SMC), Charles Chong, since 2002. He assists with research and with the drafting of speeches for Mr Chong’s parliamentary, political and grassroots work.

He was part of Mr Chong’s campaign team in Singapore’s general elections in 2011 and 2015, where Mr Chong was elected as the Member of Parliament for Joo Chiat SMC (in 2011) and subsequently as the Member of Parliament for Punggol East SMC (in 2015). He helped with the planning and execution of the canvassing and campaigning strategy, and was engaged in offline (traditional) and online electioneering efforts in both elections. Both campaigns were keenly fought and were seen as key battlegrounds in their respective general elections.

A lawyer by training, Daniel maintains an active legal practice in banking and finance law. He is also an internet entrepreneur, being the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer of PageAdvisor.com, an online marketplace for home and lifestyle services with a presence in Singapore and Malaysia.

Daniel obtained his law degree from King’s College, London and was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Singapore law from the National University of Singapore.
