Bypassing the media, US-President Donald Trump is announcing his policy mainly via Twitter (5,2 tweets a day). This includes domestic issues as well as international diplomacy. He shares his strategy to fight criminal gangs in the USA and threats China to solve the North Korean problem without them — if they don’t help. In this session we discuss how Social Media changed political communication and the role of the media. We have a look at how diplomacy changed in the digital age (Twitplomacy) and at how to influence the influencers. We analyze how social media can influence the political climate and how to do politics with 140 characters only.
